Marija is an aspiring producer born in Belgrade, Serbia. At 17, she decided to leave home in pursuit of new educational opportunities and adventures. This pivotal choice led her on a transformative journey, culminating in her enrollment at Wasatch Academy, a boarding school in Utah. The experience of living and studying with a diverse, international community deepened her passion for storytelling.

 

​Currently, she is a student at the Savannah College of Art & Design, where she majors in Film & TV Production and minors in Producing as well as Business and Entrepreneurship. After coming to SCAD, Marija founded the Women in Film Club. The club's mission is to foster equal opportunities for women filmmakers and support students of all genders with equal opportunities to contribute their talents and stories.

​She is dedicated to enhancing her expertise in film production through active involvement in various film projects. Her approach to film production centers on bringing attention to social and cultural issues. She believes that cinema has the power to influence society and spark conversations about important topics. Through her work, she strives to highlight underrepresented voices, challenge societal norms, and explore the complexities of various cultural dynamics.
